Introduction to Fastway
Fastway is the new smart bus service for the
people of Crawley, Horley and Gatwick. The first
of its kind in the South East, Fastway is an
integrated transport system that is an
intelligent, comfortable and efficient
alternative to the private car.

• Approx. 2500 car trips removed a day
• Bus journey times reduced by up to 30
• 60 increase in peak hour bus use
• 29 increase in daily bus use
• 10,000 Fastway passengers per day
• Increase bus usage by 6,500 trips a day
• 24 of users switch from car
• 5 reduction in traffic growth

• Private / public funding package of 32 million
• Over 16 million of Government support
• 14 million from private sector anticipated
