    can learn from those differences

    supervisor if you live on campus
  • Attend residence hall socials and programs that
    can help you get to know people right away so you
    dont feel like an outsider

  • Try to get to know at least one person in each of
    your classes
  • Helps you avoid feeling alone in the class
  • Gives you someone you can turn to if you have a
    question or miss some of the notes

  • If you get to know your professors outside of
    class, they may not seem as intimidating or as
    different from the teachers you have learned from
    in the past
