2Project Goal
- To protect, enhance/restore and maintain
riparian, wetland and shrub-steppe habitat at
suitable sites in the Middle Snake Province as
mitigation for wildlife losses associated with
the construction of Black Canyon, Deadwood and
Anderson Ranch hydroelectric projects
3To achieve the mitigation goal
- Work collaboratively with other fish and wildlife
management agencies, subbasin work groups and
federal land managers in region - Identify opportunities to protect, enhance and/or
restore targeted habitat types through - Fee title acquisition
- Conservation easements
- Enhancements on public lands
- Coordinate monitoring and evaluation efforts to
allow comparison of data across the province
(ideally, across the Basin).

- Site tours of proposed acquisitions
- Agency review of planned acquisitions/enhancements
