Characteristics

• The Night Lizard is endangered.
• This Night Lizard is 11/2 to 2 3/4 inches long
  with tail.
• Night Lizards are usually olive, gray, or dark
  brown above, speckled with black.
• This lizard has pupils with no moveable eyelids.
  
• This lizard seems to be wearing a tiny suit of
  medieval chain-mail.
• The Island Night Lizard grows to be between 5 and
  8 inches long.
• Night Lizards have breakable tails.

Habitat

• This is a secretive lizard of arid and semiarid
  lands. They may be found from sea level to 9,300
  feet. These lizards are found ranging from
  southwestern U.S. to Panama. Most are from Mexico
  or Central America.

Predator/Prey

• Large snakes eat the night lizard.
• Night Lizards eat termites, small insects,
  spiders and other arthropods.
