Is it edable?

• This picture on the left is a picture of a man
  and a Jackfruit.This man is able to eat it until
  it gets brown. This fruit can weigh up to 10 Ilbs
  and can get to 1 foot long.

What else can it do?

• The fruit becomes aromatic and softens when
  ripe.  The flesh is popular eaten out-of-hand ,
  and contains many seeds which are boiled or
  roasted like chestnuts.  The flesh can also be
  blended into a shake or made into jam.  Mature
  but unripe fruit can be sliced and cooked.

How does it grow?

• The Jackfruit grows on a tree. This tree is very
  tall. It can grow up to roughly 40 feet high. It
  will take about 1 year and 7 months to grow this
  high. This tree looks like a palm tree with
  fruits.

Where can you find it?

• You can find this plant in diffrent countrys.
  Some of them are in Malaysia, the Philippines,
  Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and in Vietnam. They
  are very rare in the United States. They grow in
  the hot-humid lowlands

Diffrent names

• This fruit has diffrent names. One of them is
  Jak-Jak. Another is Jackal. There is another one
  that is from another country and is hard to
  pronounce. It is Nangka.

Funny shapes

• These fruits have a lot of funny shapes. There
  are swirly,circular, squiguly, and who knows,
  there might even be square!
