Seaweed

• Green seaweeds need bright light to grow.
• Brown seaweeds are very tough.
• Seaweed is the home of lots of animals.

Jellyfish

• Thick layer of jelly.
• Stinging tentacles hang below.
• They dry up and die if out of water too long.

Starfish

• Most have five arms.
• They have an eye at the tip of each one.
• If it loses an arm it can grow a new one.

Hermit Crab

• Does not have its own shell.
• It has five pairs of legs the front pair have
  strong pincers to catch food.
• As it grows it climbs out of its shell and has to
  find a bigger one.

Sea Anemones

• They attach themselves to rocks.
• They have stinging tentacles.
• They catch passing shrimps with their tentacles
