God Demands Respect
Exodus 1918-19 Now Mount Sinai was all in smoke
because the LORD descended upon it in fire and
its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace,
and the whole mountain quaked violently. When the
sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder,
Moses spoke and God answered him with thunder.

God Demands Respect
Exodus 2018-20 All the people perceived the
thunder and the lightning flashes and the sound
of the trumpet and the mountain smoking and when
the people saw it, they trembled and stood at a
distance. Then they said to Moses, let not God
speak to us, or we will die. Moses said, God
has come in order to test you, and in order that
the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you
may not sin.

Do Not Refuse HimHebrews 1218-25
1225 See to it that you do not refuse Him who
is speaking. For if those did not escape when
they refused him who warned them on earth, much
less will we escape who turn away from Him who
warns from heaven.

Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which

we may offer to God an acceptable service with
reverence and awe for our God is a consuming

perfume, the work of a perfumer, salted,
pure, and holy. You shall beat some of it very
fine, and put part of it before the testimony in
the tent of meeting where I will meet with you
it shall be most holy to you. The incense which
you shall make, you shall not make in the same
proportions for yourselves it shall be holy to
you for the LORD. Whoever shall make any like it,
to use as perfume, shall be cut off from his
people.

2617-18 Then Azariah the priest entered after
him and with him eighty priests of the LORD,
valiant men. They opposed Uzziah the king and
said to him, It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn
incense to the LORD, but for the priests, the

incense. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have
been unfaithful and will have no honor from the
LORD God.

house of the LORD, beside the altar of
incense... King Uzziah was a leper to the day of
his death and he lived in a separate house,
being a leper, for he was cut off from the house
of the LORD.
