The City of Seattle converted from 30 to 100
recycled paper AND reduced from 143,000 reams in
2004 to 116,000 in 2006, which yielded 70 tons of
waste reduction and the following impacts.

In addition to printing and copying paper,
several large-run city publications switched to
high-recycled content paper this year.
Theseinclude -- the bill inserts in City Light
and SPU utility bills went from 30 to 100 pcw
recycled paper (the SPU insert uses about
600,000sheets annually, reducing ghg emissions
by 11,000 pounds annually -- the annual
Consumer Confidence Report on drinking water
975,000 sheets, went from 0 recycled to 50 pcw
recycled paper
