How do cicadas die?

• The cicada killer is one of the largest wasps.
  The wasp can grow one and half inches long.
• Cicadas emerge every 13 or 17 years to reproduce
  and die.
• Once a wasp finds a cicada she will sting it and
  paralyze the cicada.
• Cicadas, such as the dog day harvest fly, are
  very important as a food source for young wasps.
• And also larvae eat cicadas.
