Basis for the matrix

• Colour mutations
• (Colour modifying mutants)
• Variety mutations

Colour modifier mutations are

• Grey
• Violet
• Dark factor
• These are subsets of the Colour mutations, not
  relevant to positioning of yellowface blue

Colour mutations are..

• Blue (normal)
• English yellowface blue (normal)
• Aust. yellowface blue (normal)
• All are Colour allelomorphs mutated from wildtype
  (normal) Green
• Represent the 4 budgie Colours that can be seen
  with all Variety mutations

Variety mutations are
Colours are currently restricted to green or
blue, except for the pieds and spangle

• Blackeyed self
• Redeyed self
• Clearwing
• Greywing
• Cinnamonwing
• Opaline
• Fallow
• Etc etc

Proposal is to expand to include yellowface blue
as an additional option in all Varieties

Yellowface blue normals grouped in the matrix
with the other two colours

• Normal Green
• Normal Blue
• Yellowface Blue
• Blackeyed self
• Redeyed self
• Clearwing
• Greywing
• etc etc

Currently yellowfaces are misplaced among the
Variety mutations

What this means.

• Positions yellowface blue based on genetics
• Green, blue yellowface blue are all normals
• Every Variety mutation, below them on the matrix,
  can then be exhibited in all three colours,
  green, blue and yellowfaced blues
• Puts an additional Colour mutation into each
  class below yellowface on the matrix, creating
  much more interest in a declining hobby
• Already is the case for pieds spangle, so
  proposal merely represents an extension to all
  varieties
