FINDING ALLAHS BLESSNESS IN WORK

Let us improve our piety (taqwa) and good deeds
by obeying Allahs entire commands and omitting
all the forbidden.

Blessed muslims, Allah s.w.t urged human is to
work and find livelihood. Allah s.w.t says in
Al-Quran

And say "Work (righteousness) soon will Allah
observe your work, and His Messenger, and the
believers soon will you be brought back to the
knower

of what is hidden and what is open then will He
Show you the truth of all that you did."
(At-Taubah verse 105)

The verse clearly explained that Allah s.w.t
urged human to work. There are more other verses
and Hadith that explained the important for human
to work righteously. Rasulullah s.a.w says

If one of you take a rope, and bring along few
sticks and tied it on his shoulder. And you sold
it. Allah s.w.t will cover his face (not
humiliate) because it is better for him then
begging for money. (Riwayat
Al-Bukhari)

Based on history, Syeikh Said Al-Ramadhan
Al-Buthi in his book (Sirah An-Nabawi) explained
about Rasulullahs attitude, since his younger
age until he was exposed with working.

Rasulullah was known as a hardworking and trust
worker. That is the attitude that our previous
prophet had shown us.

Imam An-Nabawi in his book (Riyadu Salihin)
revealed some of the working attitude of our
Prophets. Prophet Daud a.s. get his livelihood by
using his hand. Prophet Zakaria a.s is known as a
carpenter. The question is, how does our work
will get Allahs blessness?

Blessed muslims,The fact is, nowadays some of us
did not concern about getting blesses from Allah
s.w.t in fulfilling their daily job. For them,
getting the money and profit is much more
important than anything.

Matters about legitimate (halal) or illegitimate
(Haram) are not important. Most of them who get
the money will not have any intention to give
alms to the poor. They claimed that what they get
is come from their own effort.

Hence, today sermon would like to explain some
methods that can be done to make our work and
activities be blessed by Allah s.w.t..

First Have a sincere purpose that our work is
for the sake of Allah s.w.t.. Rasulullah s.a.w
says Indeed action comes with intention.

Second Make sure that our work does not against
Islam (law). In other word, our work must be
purified from any illegitimate element.
Rasulullah s.a.w says O, human! Allah s.w.t is
good and He only except good things and He had
command the believers as what He had command His
messengers

O, My messengers, Eat up from legitimate (Halal)
food, and implement only good practice, indeed I
know what you practice. (Riwayah
Muslim from Abu Hurairah)

Third Work hard and truly focus in fulfilling
the task. Rasulullah s.a.w says Indeed Allah
s.w.t. preferred those who work, so he works
diligently.
(Riwayah Abu Yula)

Forth Did not neglected our responsibility to
Allah during our work such as prayer, giving
alms, covering Aurah, manners and so on. Fifth
Rely on Allah of all result for the effort that
we had made.

Rasulullah s.a.w says If you believe in Allah
s.w.t with truly believe, He will give you
livelihood as what He had give to a bird which go
out in the morning in hungry and come back with
full stomach.

Let us realize and repent our self. From this
moment, let us change our situation in order to
see our religion (Islam) soared, our ummah will
be excellent, famous and glorious. Be thankful to
Allah and ask for His forgiveness so that our
practice, worships and work will be blessed by
Allah s.w.t..

And if the people of the Towns had believed and
had the Taqwa (piety), certainly, we should have
opened for them Blessings from the heaven and the
earth, but they belied (the Messengers),

so we took them (with punishment) for what they
used to earn (polytheism and crimes, etc.).
(Al-Araf verse 96)

• O Allah,
• The most merciful god, we thank you for all the
  mercy and pleasure that you gave so that we can
  enhance and strengthen our Islamic country
  especially Selangor as a developed and peaceful
  country.

• We beg you to increase our practice, brace up our
  unity, give us prosperous life, make us rich with
  good knowledge, flourish our soul with noble
  character, bring back our youngsters to the right
  path, save us from your biggest test such

• as huge flood, drought, epidemic, disputing
  between ourselves, poorness and anything else so
  that this country will be more prosperous and
  blessed.
