• Implement a web application that allows consumers
  to configure and purchase hardware, software, and
  services online
• Deploy by 4th Quarter, 2007

Working Hypothesis

• The e-Store will
• Allow customers to complete transactions from
  registration, to configuring and placing orders,
  to payment entirely online
• Offer selectable warranty terms and support
• Provide consolidated invoices to customers
• Support special promotions and incentives
  (upselling)
• Work at web speed

• Reviewed all available documentation
• Began consolidating ideas and information in
  preparation for next steps
• Created a document repository and implemented
  infrastructure for group communications
• Conducted brainstorming session

• Were going to need more money, though
• Just kidding!

Issues/Concerns

• Our work to date has been based solely on the
  available documentation
• Based on the documentation, we have many
  questions. For example
• What security features are needed for the
  e-Store?
• Will all Marvel Electronics and Home
  Entertainment products eventually be offered via
  the e-Store?
• What are the reliability, scalability, and user
  capacity requirements for the e-Store?
