Our Mission

Public Feedback about Central Park
  • Outline phases that include only City-owned
    property
  • Reconsider water moat around performing arts
    space
  • Identify potential parking areas
  • Identify loading/unloading access for performing

  • Make sure Irrigation District is on board
  • Consider safety when looking at stepped access to
    river, perhaps securing it during certain times
    of the year
  • Children may not be deterred from getting in the
    water no matter what precautions are taken

  • Majority of interior property should be utilized
    for public park, especially that next to the
    river
  • Parking spaces should be added along interior
    road (10-24 spaces)
  • City should also work with property owners on
    additional parking on the northwest corner (30-60
    spaces)
  • A parking statement was prepared by the Committee
    (enclosed in packet)

Maintenance Statement
  • In 1994, the LAMP volunteers approached the City
    about maintaining the project should it be
    developed. The City agreed to do so at that
    time.
  • We recognize that maintenance is an important
    issue with any community project.
  • We have created a Maintenance Statement for you
    to consider (enclosed in packet).
