  • New PCR Template
  • All PCRs must follow
  • Section II-05 was revised to match the PCR
    template

Project Concept Reports (PCRs)
  • For projects that disturb the surrounding soil,
    including inslopes.
  • May require a number of permits (ex Floodplain,
    404, etc.)
  • Work with assigned tech support to get required
    information for permits

PCRs continued
  • A pre-draft review is required
  • PCR should be ready for distribution
  • Tech Support will review prior to draft
    distribution to make sure information is
    presented clear for voting members
  • Comments returned by Tech Support DO NOT need to
    be responded toonly corrected
  • Primary author (District) will follow the
    Distribution List (Appendix II-03 C) and send the
    Draft out for comment after pre-draft comments
    are incorporated

  • Yes can be checked for the Floodplain, but you
    need to contact Jeff Klien, State Water
    Commission
  • Place in FileNet when completed

  • Statewide Safety Program Decision Document is at
    Director and Deputy Director
  • For now think of this question as are there
    areas on the project identified on the High Crash
    Rate List

  • ADA requirements Thin Lift Overlay and above
    need ADA compliant ramps
  • Check with District Signing Foreman to make sure
    the traffic control meets MUTCD
  • The MUTCD has a number of updates that need to be
    done, but there is an implementation date
  • The Signing Foreman may be looking at doing a
    sole project to update the District in one shot
  • If you have questions about if a Railroad
    Crossing has adequate protective devices you can
    call

  • Sign Electronically
  • Place in FileNet

ECL Submittal Process
  • Place all 3 worksheets on FileNet together
  • Make sure to include the electronic signature
    (i.e. /s/)
  • Designers name should be typed below the line
  • Send OPD Admin. Assistant and Tech Support a
    FileNet link
  • Include the PCN of the project in the email
  • Send OPD Admin. Assistant the original Worksheet
    B
  • These worksheets must be completed before you
    begin the Design Process

  • These projects are on the Programmatic CatEx
    Worksheet, but are not Preventive Maintenance
  • Follow Pre-Draft and Draft Process for a PCR
  • Template is available on the Reference and Forms
    Page of the Design Manual
  • Follows PCRs Executive Summary Format
  • Worksheets A and B added as body
  • Programmatic CatEx worksheet will be filled out
    after Decision Document is signed
  • New process so Section II-05 of the Design Manual
    has not yet been revised to reflect this
