May 2, 2006

• Today I had lots of fun and adventure. Ben and
  I were playing baseball and I hit my soft ball
  and it went flying so Ben and I went to find it.
  There was lots of mud and there was a river. I
  went over to look at the mud and then my weight
  was too heavy, so my feet sunk in the mud and I
  was stuck and the mud. It was so gooey and fun to
  play with even though it would not stick
  together. Then Ben went to get a stick to pull me
  out with. After we went back, I got changed and
  Mrs. Gewertz was fixing her car, Ben and I went
  back to the river in a different place we saw a
  sign that said Help us we are dieing and then
  we saw some arrows pointing in a direction so we
  followed it. Here is an idea for walking in the
  mud.

• Today Ben and I decided to go back to
  the river tomorrow and find out what is dieing.
  Mean while, I went back without Ben and got some
  of the mud and took it home to play with. It was
  fun and messy but after I had to clean up the
  kitchen because of the mess. Mrs. Gewertz told me
  about Oobleck and I made it and played with it. I
  did not get any sleep last night because I was
  excited to know who was dieing and how to solve
  the mystery.

May 4th, 2006

• Today, I cooked the Oobleck and it tuned into
  jelly and it felt disgusting. Today I drew a
  picture of the Oobleck that I cooked. Here is the
  picture I drew. When you cook mud it does not
  turn into jelly so there is one big difference
  between Oobleck and mud.

May 5th 2006

• Yesterday I went to a new marsh it was fun. I
  brought a container and put some mash water in it
  and there was some water bugs there was a black
  one with a big head and a small tail and it would
  not stop moving around in the water, a another
  black bug and it was moving slowly and it was
  long and a few legs and there was lots of small
  brown bugs that you could just barely see. The
  place I went to was called Ed Nixon Trail in
  Langford.

May 8th, 2006

• Im looking forward to tomorrow because Ben and
  I are going to try to find out what is dieing and
  maybe what is killing whatever is dieing. I hope
  Mrs. Gewertz does not fix the van to fast. I
  think the only thing that comes out at night is
  someone who pollutes the water.

• Today I found out what is dieing, it is crabs!
  I drew a picture of one. It had blue on it.

• Hi, its me, I wonder what is killing the
  crabs and why all the fish are gone anyway. I
  think it is because there is oil in the river
  that someone put there at night. I drew a picture
  of the river.

May 11th, 2006

• I had a good day today I found a cool website
  
  
  about marshes and plants and animals. It had
  questions and answers and it had crafts.  Here is
  the web site.

• Today I met a girl named Victoria Lloyd and she
  is studying marshes. Well good by for now, see

May 12th, 2006

• Today Cornelius finally found out how to get
  oil off water. All you have to do is put some
  things on it like material, fathers and
  Styrofoam. Today I learned how to do a cool new
  trick. I should tell LL. What you do is put one
  of your fingers up on one of your hands and two
  fingers up on the on there had but make sure that
  the fingers that you put up are the ones beside
  your thumb but dont put up your thumbs. Then hum
  a tune and hit you hands together, and every time
  you hit your thumbs together you change the hand
  with two fingers up to the one with one finger
  and the one with one finger up to the one with
  two fingers and keep on doing that until the tune
  is over.

May 15th, 2006
On the weekend Victoria Lloyd and I went to her
house and jumped on her trampoline, read on her
hammock, fed the fish in her fish pond, swung on
her swing, swam in her pool, played on her game
cube, played with her toys, played with her cat
,sang with her on the karaoke machine and talked
about the marsh mystery. Victoria and I had lots
of fun but then I had to go home but Ill go
there again some day because Victoria and I are
becoming really good friends.

May 16th 2006

• It was fun and scary today I wonder who is the
  scuba diver and why he walked backwards. I think
  Bert has something to do with the oil in the
  marsh because he lied to us when he told us that
  the oil comes from the pipe. Im glad that the
  garbage can lids worked or else Ben and I would
  not have been able to know that Bert was lying.
  Bert also put empty cans back in his truck that
  was weird. I cant wait to find out what only
  comes out at night. It is going to be fun to camp
  out, I just hope that Ben nor Mrs. Gewertz
  snores.

• Hi, its me and yes Im still camping out at the
  marsh but I couldn't get to sleep because sadly
  Mrs. G. snores so I went to get something to eat.
  I wonder when the thing that only comes out at
  night is coming. I mean to night maybe what ever
  it is, is scared of us so it wont come out.

• I cant believe how Bert lied to us and
  especially about something so important. Today I
  read about wetlands and I learned that wetlands
  are like a sponge. They are important to all the
  animals that live, eat and mate there. There is
  less wetlands because people are building on
  them. Everyone should protect them and not
  pollute them. I drew a picture of the marsh and
  all the oil and pollution in it.

I cant believe that it was Bert who was dumping
oil into the marsh. Well there is some questions
that are unanswered, like who was the lady with
the red hair, who was the scuba diver, where was
my softball and how it got back. I guess there is
the questions that will never be answered. Well
maybe they will be answered but I doubt it. Now I
know about the marsh maybe Victorias mom will
let her and me get some dirty clothes and go with
Mrs. G. to the marsh and get stuck in the mud and
then get Mrs. G. to bring a rope to pull us out
that would be fun. Here is the map of the Marsh
where all this excitement took place. Good night

May 24, 2006

Today the snoopers had to do a experiment on oil
and eggs and the one on eggs stunk the whole room
up. I had to draw a picture of the eggs for the
project. I wonder if Bert had to go to Jail for
what he did? I hope no animals died, well I do
know that crabs died but I wonder if anything
else died. I cant wait for tomorrow because Ben,
Cornelius, LL and I are taking a day off and
going to the water slides.
I just hope that it wont
rain or

• Today Victoria came to my house and we
  talked about the Snoops Marsh mystery and Snoops
  Smoke and Mirrors mystery. Then we played and
  experimented with oil. Victoria invited me to her
  piano recital. After my house we went to the
  marsh with Ben and Victoria. I went to the same
  place where Ben and I started the mystery and
  Victoria and I got stuck in the mud on purpose.

• The results of the last few weeks of snoops
  have been amazing, well not amazing but cool. It
  was funny when Bert just said Wrong I did it all
  by myself and just confess like that. Now Bert's
  in jail for 1 year. I learned a lot about
  wetlands. I learned that if oil gets into a
  wetland it can sink into egg shells and kill the
  babies. There is different types of wetlands,
  wetlands are being destroyed by buildings being
  but up on top of wetlands and some animals cant
  survive without wetlands because they need them
  for nesting, migrating and for a food source. Im
  sad that this mystery is over but the best thing
  is that I made a knew friend Victoria Lloyd and I
  have a feeling that this friendship is going to
  last a long time. This is my friend Victoria.
