Judaism

• The origins of Judaism was in Ur. Abraham heard a
  voice telling him to take his family and flocks
  to follow him to where the voice would lead. He
  is Patriarch of Judaism.
• The founding leaders were Abraham and Moses
• The basic principles were
• Monotheistic-worship of only one god, and they
  also believe in the Torah or their Holy Book
• Getting to other areas, spread by the fact that
  one is usually born into Judaism, the Jews were
  dispersed so they could be found everywhere

Christianity

• Jesus of Bethlehem was born through the Holy
  Spirit thats how it started.
• Jesus was the founding son of God. Jesus spread
  stories
• The basic principles of Christianity is that they
  are monotheistic, worship the bible, believe in
  Jesus and God
• Jesus and his12 disciples spread stories of this
  religion

Buddhism

• This religion started in India
• The founding leader was Siddhartha Gautama
• The basic principles of this religion were that
  they believed in the Buddha, the Four Noble
  Truths, and the Eightfold Path
• It was spread by Emperor Ashoka

Islam

• Prophet Mohammad was born through the Holy Spirit
  in Medina
• The holy city is Mecca.
• The founding leader was Prophet Mohammad
• They are monotheistic and believe in the Pillars
  of Islam Faith, Prayer, Alms, Fasting, and
  Pilgrimage where they pray 5 times a day
• When Mohammad died the Muslims continued to
  spread the religion

Hinduism

• The Hindu religion started in India
• There was no particular founder of this religion,
  but it is the oldest
• The basic principles of the Hindu religion they
  are polytheistic, believed in the Seven Truths,
  the Caste system, the 4 Rig- Vedas, and
  reincarnation
• The believers of the Hindu religion spread the
  religion

Confucianism

• This religion started in Lu Province where
  Confucius was born
• The founding leader was Master Kung or Confucius
• The people believed that the children should
  respect their parents and that the parents should
  respect their child they also believe in
  Confuciuss Analects
• Treat everyone as you want to be treated

Taoism

• No known location where this religion started
• Laozi was the founding leader of this religion
• The believers believed that everybody should
  respect nature
• Their Yin-Yang symbol symbolizes the opposites
  for example male, female light, and dark
