How Can MHV Support ACA?
  • Improve access to care
  • Empower veterans to partner with their health
care providers by sharing health information
  • Give veterans and their caregivers/families more
tools to help them more actively manage many
aspects of their own care scheduling,
    medication renewal/refills, etc
  • Provide health care providers with a tool to
    communicate with veterans
  • Provide time saving alternatives to in-person
    patient encounters

25
How Can MHV Support ACA?
  • Improve access by reducing the number of patients
    presenting with non-urgent problems
  • Patients who take a more active role in their
health care have been found to have improved
clinical outcomes and treatment adherence, which
    reduces unnecessary clinic visits

with pt if not lit, provider can encourage pt
    to get authenticated)
