- Command the battalion at all formations
- Maintain a direct and personal relationship
with the staff and the company commanders. - Encourage the company commanders to communicate
freely. - Ensure that feelings of mutual respect and
confidence exist between the staff and company
commanders.
5 Battalion Commander
- Designate staff officers to assist in the
preparation execution, and supervision of orders. - Use the staff to assist in gathering
information and preparing plans for conducting
training and controlling the battalion.

- Ensure that staff members are capable and that
they understand their responsibilities to the BN
CDR, BN XO, and to the corps of cadets. - Execute all responsibilities in the name of the
Senior Army Instructor seek advice and
assistance from the instructor staff and carry
out all of their directives quickly and
completely.

- Ensure orders and actions are in compliance
with JROTC regulations, policies, and directives
and with local school regulations and policies. - Work with school authorities in coordinating
activities of the cadet battalion with the
organizations of the school, ensuring the
battalion activities are in accordance with
school policy.

- Arrange the required meetings and assemble the
required command or staff personnel to determine
any actions that may be necessary in fulfilling
the obligations of the cadet battalion. - Preside over officer calls.

- Community Service Adopt A Road program.
- 31 cadets participated in providing community
service to the city of Portal and Bulloch county
by adopting a one mile stretch of highway 80
roadway. - They maintained the cleanliness of the roadway
by picking up all trash completed numerous times
and dedicating numerous hours of selfless
service.

- Develops cadet portfolios which contains the
qualification records and personal files of all
the cadets. -

bulletin boards. - Assign outdoor training areas. .

and track for ceremonies and events.

Coordinate the training of the rifle team, drill
team, Color Guard, and the honor guard.
Coordinate training for guidon bearers and
manual of the saber for cadet officers. Organize
events such as reviews, parades, and
extracurricular activities. Maintain the
training portion of cadet records.

Polk. - Hylow, Polk were in the Honor company Alpha.

- Assume command of the battalion in the absence
of battalion commander . - Perform the duties as assigned by the battalion
commander, and The JROTC Instructors.

supplies and on the condition of equipment.
