14Pictures are Worth a Thousand Words!
15I shared this website with the Art Teacher and
showed her a few of the 3D visualizations
available. Today, she uses http//www.artsconn
ected.org/toolkit to show the students 3D
visualizations of line and shape within a
composition.
First the lines and shapes appear with cool sound
effects, then the composition appears.
Ooohs and Aaaahs follow!
16Final composition from http//www.artsconnected.or
g/toolkit
Collaboration for beginning the Icebreaker
activity.
The meeting of the teams
17After the teams meet, the away team tries to
build the structure according to the instructions
that were given.
The teams met a final time to see how close they
were on the home structure vs. the away
structure
18The Tower- SEEING Process Skills
This is the tower activity that is completed in
the beginning of the year to promote team work
and introduce scientific process skills.
These students are preparing their tower to
withstand hurricane force winds.
19Paper Activity- visualizing numeric data
The paper activity allowed students to view
numbers through incorporation of
scientific process skills.
These students are Attempting a harder number
set- testing their own hypothesis.
20Students are beginning an Excel activity on the
measurements of hand spans.
21Using the data that was collected student
manipulated that data using Excel. Once the
students had their spread sheet they saw their
graphed results!
22No Correlation between handspan and typing speed
