The mic is placed to the side of the laptop, away
from the laptops exhaust fan.
24Microphone Placement
Large Room Mics
Table top mics - directly in front of
participants. Handheld best used for questions
in class room setting, turn off before handing

the mic on the sternum.

27Audio Etiquette
Sharing head sets Mute audio before
passing. Chattering in background If you have
guests conversing in the background, please mute
their mic or your audio. Playing music in
background Dont do it unless you are having an
AG beer fest. Hmmmm...... Eating Not only
should you mute your audio, move out of the frame
of the camera. Miscellaneous noise Typing,
coughing, ringing phones, barking dogs, etc.
28Conclusion
Improve camera setup (where you put your camera
is where you put your audience). Find the best
lighting setup. Simplify the background. Find the
right microphone for the meeting. Find the best
microphone and speaker placement. Create a quiet
environment. Practice good video audio
etiquette.
