  a read-only device.
• The microphone is automatically sampled at a rate
  of 48kHz, which is consistent with digital audio.
• Two 16-bit registers
• 0 data register
• The data register contains the 12-bit converted
  value of the analog signal input.
• 1 flag register
• The flag register is set to one if there has been
  new data converted since the last read of the
  data register
