3Penticton Wants to Lead The Way to 2010
- Why Penticton
-
- Penticton is the perfect location for a water
ramp. Weather is ideal, Sports Tourism is a
guiding principle of Pentictons development.
Tourism Services are well established. Did we
mention Weather?... - Apex Mountain Resort is the premier venue in
Western Canada in Training and Competitions for
Freestyle Skiing, and is the home of the BC team.
- Provincial and National teams often use Apex as
their early season training site. This will grow
as infrastructure improves and as the Olympics
approach. A Water Ramp adds to the critical mass.

the puzzle. - We have an architectural concept design for
discussion. - We have a world class asset to Manage the
operation. Our Canadian National Ski Team coach
and Penticton resident, Rob Kober. - 4. We have a dedicated BCFSA team of business

Recommendation In addition to the ongoing
viability of the project, this is a fabulous
opportunity to for Penticton to participate in
the training of BC athletes in their quest
towards the 2010 Olympics. What better place than
Penticton to showcase the countrys best. We
ask that the this Committee support our proposal
by forwarding this project to Council with your
comments and recommendations. Together, lets
make Penticton proud as a centre of Sports
Development and Tourism in Canada. Your athletes
will thank You.
