The Personality of Old Blood and Guts

• Pattons personality was very strict. He was
  known for cursing at soldiers till the job was
  done and done right. There was no second chance
  for anyone under his command.

Pattons Past

• Patton believed in reincarnation and had once
  said that he had been alive during the great
  battles of histories past. He also said that he
  had fought and died in those battles, after
  giving one convincing speech about it, most
  people thought he was crazy.

  One being the Spanish Expedition, another being
  WWI, and last he fought in the Great WWII

• Patton attended the Virginian Military Institute
  in 1907 for one year before transferring to West
  Point. He had dropped out of West Point but had
  Returned to complete his education in 1909.

• Served in army from 1909 to the time of his
  death in 1945
• He commanded six different divisions which
  include 3rd Cavalry Regiment, U.S. 2nd Armored
  Division, U.S. 2nd Corps, U.S. Seventh Army, U.S.
  Third Army, and U.S. Fifteenth Army

Pattons Death

• General George S. Patton Jr. passed away on
  December 21, 1945 in Heidelberg, Germany after a
  car accident involving his car and a duce and a
  half truck on December 9th. His grave is now in
  Ham, Luxembourg with other members of the Third
  Army.

Hollywoods Idea of Patton

• Hollywood sees Patton as an indestructible
  fighting machine. Where as in the film Patton
  he is shown jumping from a window onto a
  halftrack down to the ground. He then pulls out
  his .45 Colt and starts shooting at the German
  aircraft strafing the city that he is stationed
  at.
