About Chihuahuas

• Originated in Mexico.
• Named after the city Chihuahua Mexico.
• 19th century someone found the trace of chihuahua
  dogs in Sierra Madre, in the area of Chihuahua.

.Appearance.

• Small, graceful, alert, swift-moving with saucy
  expressions.
• Weigh 6-10 pounds.
• Head is well rounded.
• Eyes are full but not protruding. Set apart and
  are luminous dark or luminous ruby.
• Ears are large.

Health Problems

• Parents should be screened for luxating patella.
  Its a hereditary disease.
• Sensitive to anesthetics, vaccines, and other
  chemicals.
• Wheeze and snore.
• Eyes are susceptible to corneal dryness and
  secondary glaucoma.
• Colds, stress, and have gum problems.

Continuation Of Health Problems

• NEVER let them lick or eat toxic products,
  fertilizer, or chocolate.
• Smooth coats tend to shiver a lot from being
  cold.
• Best to keep out of rain. It could cause them to
  catch a cold. Should be fed lightly.
• Under three pounds more susceptible to
  hypoglycemia.
