• Get down to Business
  A week
  or two before your chapter meeting schedule a
  business meeting
• The Agenda should include
  1.
  Evaluating the previous chapter meeting
  - How many members were
  there, how many guests? How many were saved
  and/or filled with the Holy Spirit? Was the
  speaker well-treated? Was his ministry
  effective? Are there areas that need to be
  improved? Was the meeting well publicized? What
  do we need to be doing that we arent doing? Etc

• The Agenda should include
  
  2. Guest follow-up
• first-timers must receive
  
  - a letter thanking them for attending
  
  - a phone call to tell them how
  much their presence was appreciated
  -
  a personal visit
  -
  an invitation to lunch
  -
  a copy of Voice Magazine or
  The Happiest people on Earth
  
  - individual
  prayer

• The Agenda should include
  
  3. Member participation
• - fill vacant chapter positions
  
  - discuss the work of each
  committee
  
  -
  give out a questionnaire
  regarding
  opportunities of
  ministry to every
  member

• Members should be appointed to the following
  functions
• a) worship - plans and coordinates the
  music for chapter meetings this is a crucial
  office of ministry, and the man who holds it must
  have a special gift and calling for it
• b) publicity - responsible for advertising
  and
  publicizing chapter meetings
• c) meal coordination/ticket sales
  -
  works closely with the chapter
  president and the
  hotel or restaurant in
  setting up the meal

• Members should be appointed to the following
  functions
• d) membership secretary
  
  - the membership secretary
  carries an important responsibility to keep
  contact with the members
• e) greeters/ushers
  
  - the official welcoming committee
  
  this committee is the oil that keeps the
  meeting
  running smoothly
• f) FGBMFI literature and tape sales
  -
  selects literature to be displayed and sold at
  chapter meetings. A supply of FGBMFI books,
  tapes, and Voice magazines should be on display
  at every meeting

• Members should be appointed to the following
  functions
• prayer/counseling
  
  accept this ministry as a definite call from God
  
  - he gathers all prayer
  needs for the
  chapter
  
  - acts as liaison among the churches
  -
  responsible for the training of
  counselors
  
  
  - their spiritual maturity is of
  great
  importance because they will be
  waging
  spiritual battles to help others

• Members should be appointed to the following
  functions
• h) Literature
  
  - copies of the magazine are on display in every
  meeting - encourages members to subscribe to
  and
  distribute Voice
  -
  initiates other methods of distribution

• Other aspects of member participation
• i) secretarys and treasurers reports
  
  - stress the importance of accurate
  record-keeping
• j) other reports
  
  - everyone should be kept well informed about all
  chapter activities
• k) input from membership
  
  - Give everyone an opportunity to share his
  thoughts
• l) planning for future chapter meetings
  -
  Suggestions for special events can be made at
  this time

• Larger chapters may want to give responsibilities
  to members for the following
• 1. sound system
  
  - If the meeting place doesnt
  provide a
  sound system, this chairman is responsible
  to do so
• 2. outreach
  
  - this chairman coordinates the chapters
  worldwide involvement in airlifts, conventions,
  establishing overseas chapters and other global
  ministries
• 3. hospital and prison outreach
  -
  Opportunities for involvement in these
  institutions is absolutely unlimited

• Larger chapters may want to give responsibilities
  to members for the following
• 4. tape recording
  - He
  must know how to get a quality recording of the
  meeting, have access to duplication equipment,
  and work with the soundman to insure everything
  gets on tape
• 5. telephone
  
  - He must train members who
  will use the telephone
  for counseling,
  invitations, and follow-up of visitors
