  • Most religions have experienced war and its
    severe consequences of it

Buddhisms Beliefs
  • Buddhists believe war is immoral and unjust
  • Killing in self defence is not permitted, however
    self defence is allowed so as all life is spared
  • War is never justified

Sikhisms Beliefs
  • Concept of war called Dharam Yudh
  • War must be last resort, and must have a just
    cause.
  • Believed only in peace, until 10th Guru became
    more militant.

  • Once encouraged war over peace, in order to
    eliminate evil forces
  • Today many followers believe that war is unwanted
    and preventable
  • Do not poison arrows, attack from behind.

  • Before a war is waged, a peace offering must be
    made and a warning of what is to come, if they
    refuse the offering
  • Peace is looked upon as something from God and
    that it cannot be achieved unless there is a form
    of respect and harmony between all people

  • There must be a just cause for war to occur

    well the actual war must be conducted in a just

  • It isnt part of their religion to use violence
    (or war for this matter) as an answer to a
    problem or conflict
