3Now Its Time for Our Comprehensive Downtown
Streetscaping Plan.
Streetscape Designs and L.E.D. Lighting Schemes
were given concept approval at Plan Commission on
August 12, 2008.
Plan Commission recommended approval of Phase 1
of the Downtown Streetscaping Plan and TIF 3
funding on September 23, 2008.
4Benefits of Streetscaping
- Streetscape can have a significant effect on how
people perceive and interact with their
community. If streetscapes are safe and inviting
to pedestrians, people are more likely to walk
which can help reduce automobile traffic, improve
public health, stimulate local economic activity,
and attract residents and visitors to a
community.
