Tap for Better Teaching
  • Tapping on one of your bodys meridian points as
a Set-Up allows your body to focus on the
    negative issue or problem.
  • Tapping on a series of meridian points as a
Follow-Up sequence allows the bodys energy to be
    moved and change to begin.
  • Repeating the tapping procedures reinforces the
    issue and allows clearing.
  • Adding positives when you are ready!

13
Select the Problem or Issue
  • Use TBT on everything, but select a manageable
    issue.
  • Be specificglobal issues are rarely solved
  • Use the Emotional Set Point Scale to determine if

Median Points?
  • "Throughout history, many cultures have believed
in the existence of some sort of energy that
permeates all living organisms, including human
beings. This universal life energy--called qi (or
chi) in China, ki in Japan, and prana in
India--circulates throughout the body and in an
energy field surrounding the body. Health,
according to this model, is the harmonious flow
of life energy, while imbalances in this flow
(due to unhealthy habits or emotions, for
    example) may result in illness"
                                      ---Andrew Weil,
    MD

21
Lets Tap
  • Set-Up
  • Even though I hate math and it hates me, I love
and accept myself. I choose to find a fun way to
learn the math rules so that I can solve this
    stupid problem.
  • Reminder
  • math rules (or- this stupid problem)
  • Ask questions and discover what to tap on.
  • Assess your Suds level now. Are you ready for the
    solution to the math problem?

22
(3a) -3 (9a -1) -2
  • (3 -3 ) (a -3) (9 -2 ) (a 2 )
  • (1/33) (1/a3) ( 1/9 2 ) (a 2 )
  • (1/27) (1/a3 ) (1/81 ) (a2)
  • (1/27) (a) (1/81 ) (1)
  • 1/2187a
  • Did you remember the rules or do we need to work
on the rules. TBT allows learning to take place,
but it never replaces learning or good teaching.
  • Whats your SUDS now?

23
How do I know what to do?
  • There is no wrong way to do TBT
  • There is no set thing to say when doing the
    Set-Up.
  • There are no wrong tapping points however, some
may be more effective than others for you.
  • There is no wrong Reminder Phrase.
  • EFT uses all learning styles AVK

24
Cautions
  • Even though there is no wrong way to use TBT,
this doesnt mean that it wont be emotional.
Many of the situations we deal with are filled
with the sting of past events.
  • If you use TBT in the classroom, make sure that
you have the permission of your administration
and that they know what you are doing.

25
More Cautions
  • Learn all that you can about Tap for Better
Teaching and The Emotional Freedom Technique so
that you can utilize them as effective tools.
  • Be cautious about dealing with student issues
that do not center around classroom issues.
  • Work on yourself before working on others. It
feels much more comfortable to be in the know and
it is always better to be an example of a method
than just a teacher of a method.

26
Tap for Better Teaching and Everything Else.
  • Gary says, Try it on everything.
  • We say, Whatever is keeping you from becoming
the best that you can be, needs tapping.
  • Teachers, students, counselors, probation
officers, volunteers, parents, and everyone else
needs to improve the education game and TBT is a
    tool.

27
More Q A
  • Please think about how you can use TBT in the
classroom, the school, and your life. Do you have
any questions for us to deal with as a group?
  • If you have questions that are better handled on
an individual basis, email us, call us, or snail
    mail us.
