WHY?
32 Corinthians 127-10
Because of the surpassing greatness of the
revelations, for this reason, to keep me from
exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in
the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me--to
keep me from exalting myself! 8. Concerning this
I implored the Lord three times that it might
leave me. 9. And He has said to me, "My grace is
sufficient for you, for power is perfected in
weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather
boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of
Christ may dwell in me. 10. Therefore I am well
content with weaknesses, with insults, with
distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties,
for Christ's sake for when I am weak, then I am
strong.
42 Cor. 127-10
1. To test us, point out weaknesses, remind
us

5The disciples perception...
we are perishing
do you not care?
WRONG
6Look at the birds of the air, that they do not
sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you
not worth much more than they?
Matthew 626
7Romans 831-37
If God is for us, who is against us? 32. He who
did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over
for us all, how will He not also with Him freely
give us all things? 33. Who will bring a charge
against God's elect? God is the one who
justifies 34. who is the one who condemns?
Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was
raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also
intercedes for us. 35. Who will separate us from
the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or
nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36. Just as it is
written, "FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH
ALL DAY LONG WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE
SLAUGHTERED. 37. But in all these things we
overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
8Jesus Cares About You
For we do not have a high priest who cannot
sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has
been tempted in all things as we are, yet without
sin. Let us therefore draw near with confidence
to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy
and may find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 415-16
for He Himself has said, I will never desert
you, nor will I ever forsake you. 135b
9The "Evidence" Should Have Built Up Their Faith
10Why Was Their Faith Lacking?
11Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal
among you, which comes upon you for your testing,
as though some strange thing were happening to
you but to the degree that you share the
sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing so that
also at the revelation of His glory, you may
rejoice with exultation. 1 Peter 412-13
12Why Was Their Faith Lacking?
13If then you have been raised up with Christ,
keep seeking the things above, where Christ is,
seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on
the things above, not on the things that are on
earth. For you have died and your life is hidden
with Christ in God. Colossians 31-3
14Why Was Their Faith Lacking?
15I can do all things through Him who strengthens
me. 413
And my God shall supply all your needs according
to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 419
16Why Was Their Faith Lacking?
17My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will
reject you from being My priest. Since you have
forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget
your children. Hosea 46
18Where Is Your Faith?
On a sea of glass?
Or in a fierce gale?
Will you prove the talk with action?
