Research Associations
Regional Local Authorities
Privat Companies
State Institutes
Universities
3What is living lab
- Cooperation of
- Researchers

6Wirelessinfo
- WIRELESSINFO is non-profitable Czech association
- virtual research institute founded in 2003 by
Czech participants on project WIRELESSINFO IST
1999- 21056. WRLS group a only Czech partners
from different location and focus. WRLS has a
very wide field of activities with a big
exploitative research and implementation
potential on both on Czech market and European
market. Association group a follow partners - Main goals of WIRELESSINFO association are to
coordinate activities in research, new
development, testing and exploitations of new
information systems and technologies for data
collection and data transport on the market,
which are collective for all members. WRLS has a
very wide field of activities with a big
exploitative potential on both on Czech and
European market.
7Wirelessinfo
- First Czech Living Lab
- Member of Europan Network of Living Labs (enter
in first year on Helsinki IST conference)
8CLL Aims
To replace geodata transport, where it is
possible, with Web Services
9Themes of CLL
- Territorial planning (Vysocina Authority, Olomouc
Authority, Liberec Authority, Chotebor
municipality and Sumperk municipality, AGERIS,
Help forest, Lesprojekt, HSRS) - EAFRD (Forest Management Institute, VUZE, HSRS,
Help forest, MJM, Lesprojekt) - Risk Management (CCSS, Vysocina Authority,
Olomouc Authority, Masaryk University, Help
forest, HSRS, Lesprojekt, GILAT) - Territorial gaming (CCSS, Liberec Authority,
HSRS, Lesprojekt) - Environmental awareness (CCSS, Help forest, HSRS,
Lesprojekt, MJM)
10Decision maker support
- Search incoming information necessary for
multi-criteria decisions validation description,
and preparation of metadata to assist in
publishing the information (using web context
files) - Initial virtual brainstorming (multi-participant)
using eCollaboration and decision support tools
to set up and apply the decision model - Modeling of alternative scenarios using a
combination of GIS (commercial and open source)
and CDP in a common eCollaborative workspace - eCollaborative discussions to validate the
different scenarios and models and to agree on
commonly acceptable solutions - Finalization and visualization of accepted plan
Data searching
metadata
Map Compositor
Data Publishing
11Principle of Web Services
12EAFRD
- Detection of arrears, which could be supported
from EAFRD - On line monitoring conditions of this areas
- Support farmers and forest owners in preparation
of request for subsidies - Check the request
- In situ controlling
Data sharing on the web
Communication Unit
PDA application
13Risk management
- collection of information from sensors networks
on dispatcher server - on line monitoring of situation
- managing of collaborative teams in terrain by
dispatcher - collaboration inside of teams of terrain workers
Fire Department location
Cars watching
Sensors watching
14Environmental awareness
- planning background (regional plan, local plan,
designations) - integrated Environmental Impact Assessment
- application of tools for web services
- searching for relevant Information and Geodata
sets - Analyzing Geodata
- objective/subjective evaluation of impacts
- interactions between parameters
- cumulative effects of parameters
15LL Tools
- Usable Tools for CLL-WRLS
- Metadata System
- Map Applications
- Web Processing Serv.
- Multimedia Tools
- 3D applications
- Mobile Solution
- eLearning Solution
16Principle of data sharing
17Proposal of Deployment Model
18The Groups of User Requirements
- The tools providing interconnection between
different metadata catalogues so that a user can
search for a geodata source from several
different sources. - The applications, enabling users to connect
updated data on the external servers and use the
data for their work. The connection of the data
will be provided as a service based on open
standards. - The tools and services providing the conversion
from and into various formats. - The services to make data available for
responsible personnel from private companies
experts, planners, specialists, - The open services for data sharing among
different levels of governance - The applications and services for geodata
collecting and displaying on mobile devices - The tools for learning about new technologies
19Common User Requirements
- Easy to use, end to end simplified, locally
relevant solutions - Solutions that are embedded into Collaborative
Working Environment comprising informal and
formal aspects of collaboration - Service Oriented Architecture approach
- Compliancy with Open Standards
- Benchmarking against and synergizing with Living
Labs located in Europe
20CLL-W requirements
- Most of the CLL-W users requirements should be
covered inside of LL - The press to
- big geodata providers for publishing their
geodata in standardized forms - mobile devices producer for support of the
solutions which are focused on better internet
connection - anybody for cooperation on development of the new
network of sensors
21The CLL-WIRELESSINFO Offer
- Implementation of the presented tools into C_at_R
Core Tools and their next development the
possibility to use them by other RLL - Cooperation to establish new Core Services based
on the OGC Standards - Sharing experiences
