What have we done this far?

• Made a very basic web crawler
• Trying to get the Mozilla/Python enviroment up
  and running.
• Agreed on trying to harvest information from
  flash pages.

Hunter

• Made from scratch in python
• A very basic crawler that hunts in webpages after
  user spesified word.
• Return hits into a local .htm document
• Has shown some tendency to selfhinking, as it
  returns things that it think the user might be
  interesting in. (Actually a bug)
• Has been put on hold.

Why hunter was constructed.

• Could not comprehend the code in harvestman.
• Starting as a plattform of learning python.
• First edition searched for lttitlegt tags on a
  page, and printet it to screen.

Mozpython

• When trying to install pyxpcom and mozpython in
  mozilla, all attempts failed.
• Thats why we had to change platform from windows
  to linux.

Mozpython

• Last meeting we agreed with our supervisors that
  they should install the enviroment on steinbit.
• And we can run Mozilla from the server, using the
  cygwin program at home. Then we dont need to
  install linux at our computers.

What Is Cygwin?

• Cygwin is a Linux-like environment for Windows.
  It consists of two parts
• A DLL (cygwin1.dll) which acts as a Linux API
  emulation layer providing substantial Linux API
  functionality.
• A collection of tools, which provide Linux look
  and feel.

Whats next.

• Reading on flash building. We need to know how to
  get access and retrieve the information located
  in flash pages.
• Rewrite hunter to fit Mozpython (we formely used
  pythons built in libaries to parse html
  document, now, we will use mozilla as planned)
