Elk Grove Adult Education

• Currently provides services to approximately
  12,000 students each year.
• 3,000 of the students enroll in Adult Education
  classes.
• 3,000 students enroll in fee based enrichment
  courses.
• 2,500 students enroll in the One Stop System for
  services.
• 2,700 enroll in other programs or services.

The challenges our program faces

• There are 413 students in our ESL waiting list
  for classes at hub site.
• There are 109 students on our High School Diploma
  waiting list.
• There are 22 students on our office technology
  course waiting list.

Due to lack of funding

• We do not offer apportionment classes in the city
  of Elk Grove, Valley Hi region or in most of our
  rural areas.
• We only provide one vocational training course,
  two adult basic literacy courses and minimal high
  school diploma course offerings.
• We do not mass advertise our classes because
  students will end up on waiting lists.
