Getting Ready For Laguna!!

Expectations vs. Reality

• Youre probably thinking that as soon as you
  leave elementary school, there arent as many
  rules and you wont be treated like a baby.
  Well, think again. All you hear is rules, rules,
  rules!! And you might as well come prepared and
  bring the diapers and a bib the first week!
• Have you ever heard about Laguna teachers? Nice,
  funny, hard, entertaining, strict, etc.? They are
  all MEAN!!! Theyll definitely hide it from you
  the first few weeks, and act all nice, but then
  they drop the bomb. They give you so much
  homework. They give you like 10 lbs. of homework
  a night, adding all 6 of your classes,
  subtracting P.E., thats about 50 lbs. to carry
  in your backpack. Plus about 11 hours of no life
  a day!
• For you little 7th graders, the 8th graders are
  always scary for a little while. Maybe youre
  thinking that they steal your lunch money, trash
  can you, or stuff you in lockers. No way! That
  never happens!! Well, just not that way. They
  usually take your lunch money, and leave you with
  a major wedgie. When they trash can you, they
  give you a free ride down the hill also. And,
  when they stuff you in the lockers, they make
  sure they pick the locker with the grossest moldy
  lunch left in it, or they pick the kid that puts
  his boogers on his locker walls.

Lagunas few Good Things

• There are definitely a few good things about
  Laguna. Most of them have consequences or another
  side thats bad. Most things do.
• Definitely one of my favorite things about this
  school is that we get out at 200 every
  Wednesday!! But, we get detention if we dont get
  off campus in five minutes.
• The food is pretty phenomenal after eating
  elementary school food. Pizza, burritos,
  sandwiches, salads, daily specials, wraps, chips,
  candy, drinks, ice cream, and tons more. But the
  scary thing is, Laguna makes your food too. That
  just lets us know that the icky ingredients in
  your gross elementary school food, is also
  somehow in our middle school food. (Oh dear we
  should check that out) The cafeteria ladies are
  very nice too. And they all have a great sense of
  humor. So be nice to them, and theyll be nice to
  you.

Advice that youll need!

1. Dont mess with the 8th graders. They think
   youre annoying and will beat you up. Just act
   like yourself and dont try to be cool cause
   they dont like it. Be friends with 7th graders,
   unless its someone you already knew. Lets just
   put it this way if you do mess with them, youll
   end up upside down in a place you dont want to
   be at all.
2. Dont get to class late. You have five minutes to
   get to each class, so use it. You can stop for a
   minute to talk to one of your friends, but only
   for ONE MINUTE! Youll end up with a very long
   speech from the teacher, detention, and the worry
   that itll happen again. Its not worth it.
3. Dont get on teachers bad sides. They wont
   forgive you and theyll hold that one time
   against you all the time. Then, theyll end up
   giving you Fs on everything, and what do you
   know? Theyll see you again the next year.
4. Dont chew gum at school. Did you get away with
   it in elementary school? Well you wont at
   Laguna! Trust me on this one. These teachers have
   eyes for gum. You wont even be chewing or have
   your mouth open and theyll tell you to spit it
   out. If you get caught with it more than a few
   times, have fun scraping all of the gum stuck in
   the hallways off with a dust pan and scraper.
