The birth of Jesus
  • Jesus of Nazareth, was a first century Jewish
    teacher. He was crucified by the Romans. All the
    Christians believed that Jesus was to be the
    Christ or Messiah and through whom God was
    revealed to the world .
  • Jesus was born in Roman ruled Palestine. We
    celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas. But it
    was originally on the Jan.6.It was during the
    roman emperor Augustus. He grew up in the
    Galilean village of Nazareth .

Jesuss career
  • Early in his career, with John the Baptist, he
    gathered him a group of disciples attracted by
    the Jewish law and miracles, especially his
    exorcisms and healed of the sick.
  • He was arrested in Jerusalem, he tried,
    condemned, and was executed as a clam to Jewish
    Kingship.

The Ministry of Jesus
  • People believe that Jesus started preaching,
    after he was baptized by John the Baptist.
  • John was one of Jesus messengers.
  • He was summoned into the service of those willing
    to leave home, family, and the livelihood and to
    vote themselves to calling people to prepare for
    the new age on earth.

Jewish Law
  • The Gospels emphasize Jesus attitude toward the
    Jewish law.
  • The law forbids eating certain foods, Jesus
    taught that people are defiled by there deeds and
    words rather than what they eat.
  • When it was necessary to serve human needs,
    performed forbidden activities on the Sabbath

The Death Of Jesus
  • The priests gave him to the roman prefect Pontius
    Pilate. Pilate asked Jesus if he was the king of
    Jews. Jesus replied by saying it is as you say.
  • Pilate thought that Jesus was innocent. He let
    the people decide if Jesus or the criminal
    Barabbas would be freed. They chose Barabbas to
    be freed.
  • He died on the cross and three days later he rose
    from the dead.
