1 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- What is this?
- Much of the Da Vinci Project Class
- was taught on-line.
- Here is a peek at what was said
- On some of the class dialogues
- And personal learning blogs.

- Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man
- The drawing and text shows the Proportions of
Man, - an example of the blend of art and science
during the Renaissance. This image provides the
perfect example of Leonardo's keen interest in
proportion. In addition, this picture represents
a cornerstone of Leonardo's attempts to relate
man to nature. LilyG

- Leo invented the flying bat machine but the
Wright bros made an actual one that flies. Leo
thought of it first so whos the father(s) of
that invention? BrandenD
4 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- In order to study about anatomy and human bone
structure, Leonardo dissected dead human body and
studied how its muscle and bones worked. But
Leonardo did it secretly, because he will be
punished if caught for ruining the spiritual
appearance of the human body. LindaY

- Leonardo the scientist bridged the gap between
the shockingly unscientific medieval methods and
our own trusty modern approach. His experiments
in anatomy and the study of fluids(which I think
is pretty cool), for example, absolutely blew
away the accomplishments of his
predecessors. SidaJ
6 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Leonardo is a fascinating person, he invented
things that were ahead of his time. NicolasF
7 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo, a painter
and also a sculptor of the famous statue of David
were rivals, they hated each other. Sanskruti
8 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Did you know that the painting of the Mona Lisa
in the Louvre in France has no eyebrows? SarahW
9 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Well having no eyebrows and no eyelashes in the
Renaissance was considered beautiful. EricaA
10 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Now more scholars agree that Lisa Gherardini
is actually the model in Leonardos painting the
Mona Lisa. - Another suggestion is that the woman in the
Mona Lisa is actually Leonardo Da Vinci
himself! SarahV
11 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- What is beyond space? A question that has
boggled scientists for years. The way I see it is
that there is some end to it. I see as if a giant
barrier of a worm hole surrounds space and once
we hit that point, it warps us to the opposite
side of space. What is beyond that? Well in
religions, it's eternal happiness and torture.
Heaven and hell which is infinite as in infinite
happiness. This is my theory on what space is
like. MichaelU

- ... did Da Vinci's parachute have a hole in the
top?? We were looking at modern parachutes and
most of them had a small hole in the top, but it
didn't look like Leonardo's did! BaileyP
13 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Leonardo didnt believe the way the Catholic
church told people to live and didnt really like
it. ByronT
14 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Does anyone know if Da Vinci was actually in the
Priory of Sion?? or was it just a fact made up
from the book Da Vinci Code? Steve
15 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- I believe the Holy Grail is not a cup, but is
someone living today. A living descendant of of
Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene. "So dark, the
con of man." SarahW
16 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Its amazing on how far ahead of his time da
Vinci was but its kinda odd on how everyone is so
obsessive about his painting of the last
supper JennaG
17 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- You know how Da Vinci could be counted as a
prophet? Do you agree with that statement and
why? I say he is a prophet because he actually
"foresaw" traffic jams and designed the
double-decker bridge. Also, he even made designs
of horseless carriages/cars to go with it.
Yusuke
18 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- I tried thinking of inventions and its hard. Da
Vinci came up with so many...plus he designed
them. I could come up with ideas but to design
them as well...that would take me forever. I
think that I now appreciate his inventions even a
little more. CharlotteC
19 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Ive heard lots of people talk about some of his
inventions and how he has based them on animals.
Therefore I really wonder about his tank. How
could he of come up with this idea for this, was
it based on an animal or was it purely off the
top of his head. TylerB
20 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Do you think that Leonardo had thought of his
ideas to test his mind, then after he found out
that his ideas could do serious damage he hid all
his ideas so they could not be used
irresponsibly? ReidR
21 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Wow, I was surfing the net for da Vinci things
and found out that Leonardo established modern
techniques of scientific illustration with highly
accurate renderings such - as the embryo of the womb. GarrettS
22 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Did you know that Leonardo actually knew that
the sun didn't move but only the earth did? He
says "Il sole no si muove." How do you think he
knew that? He died in the 1500's and the earliest
time the telescope was ever used for astronomy is
in 1609! Yusuke
23 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
- Every once in a while I seem to find myself
wondering if life is just a dream or not. Because
we can never really PROVE that something exists,
we can only believe that it does. I have heard a
lot of things when it comes to theories about
life and where we came from. EricaA
24 Da Vinci Project Web Dialogue
Before this project I always thought of him as
painter and not much of an inventor, but after
all the discussions and research for our project
a have learned he is much more than that.

there are so many things to learn and find out
