• Student Poster competition.
• Undergraduate Scholarship program.
• High school essay prize.
• New Materials Camp.
• Chair/Vice Chair strategy lunches.
• Local High school talks.
• Joint activities with Lehigh chapter
• Joint activities with ASNT

Challenges

• When it appears that everything is going well
  Complacency creeps in
• No Large anchor company means harder work for
  sponsoring events.
• Really broad materials base leads to lack of
  common ground.
• Congested transportation puts members off driving
  to meetings

Counter Actions

• Constantly reinvent and try new activities if
  it aint broke, fix it anyway.
• Keep Fellows and Sustaining members satisfied and
  involved.
• New outreach to large Co. local subsidiary
  branches.
• Novel and interesting speakers, topical subjects
  (e.g. twin towers, space shuttle).
• Bus for students, meeting close to turnpike exit
  and major artery (still difficult from South.)

Successes

• Recovered from Chair resignation with hardly a
  ripple.
• Materials camp launched in 2 months and
  oversubscribed and cost fully covered.
• Long Range Plan in place and under review.
• e-Newsletter launched with advertising.
• Captivating meetings program.
