Introduction

• In face of the rapidly approaching future with
  its tremendous challenges, we modified the
  organization of the Department in a way to meet
  these challenges.

1. Dividing of the Department

• The Department has been divided into the
  following seven units
• Prof. Dr. Nabil El-Kady Unit.
• Prof. Dr. Afaf Frag Unit.
• Prof. Dr. Mahasin Abdel Rahman Unit.
• Prof. Dr. Hosny Salama Unit.
• Prof. Dr. Zakaria Salama Unit.

Duties of the Units
1

• Each unit is responsible for
• One-Day Full Work (All members of the unit, any
  time from 8 am to 8 pm).
• The Daily Patient Care (residents daily, ass.
  lecturers and lecturers to be divided ).
• On call staff (Prof. and Ass. Prof.)
• Training of the junior staff (ass. lecturers and
  residents)
• Training of the MS and MD candidates.
• Filling of Log book of residents .MS and MD
  candidates.

• Prepare interesting cases for THE GRAND ROUND
  every 7 weeks.
• Prepare One Department symposium every year.
• Participating in the department research plans.
• Responsible for all of the diagnostic and
  therapeutic techniques done to their own
  patients.(as U/S and Endoscopy)

• The senior staff will be the supervisors of the
  thesis of the junior staff of their unit in
  addition to MS and MD candidates and to be
  discussed by staff from another unit.
• The undergraduate teaching (during the one day
  full work).

• Because it became the language of this century,
  the IT and Internet took a big part of our
  consideration during planning for the new
  organizations, which will allow the staff
  specially the young doctors to catch the new
  scientific revolution vehicle and to be always
  updated.

• A 2 MB DSL line will feed all PCs via a Local
  Area Network (LAN)
