Login Screens

• After you completed the installation of vLeader
  Boot Camp (vLBC), you will have a short cut
  installed on your desktop, called Launch Virtual
  Leader. Double click to run it. Alternatively,
  you can run vLeader directly as it is installed
  by default on the C drive, Program Files folder,
  vLeader folder. Run the file called Launch
  Virtual Leader.exe
• You will get the following screen. First time
  user, click on New User and you will get the
  screen below. Under University Name, enter UCF.
• When you click on Login, you will access the next
  screen, which will allow you to enter information
  for the scores file.
• Click on the Start Here button and enter your
  information. IMPORTANT If you are using vLeader
  on two computers, you do NOT need to create
  another account on the second computer. Just
  enter you E-mail login on the second computer,
  and the scores will be automatically downloaded.
• If you plan to use vLeader on more than one
  computer we STRONGLY suggest that you install
  vLeader on a USB or flash drive that you can move
  from one computer to another. For further
  instructions on this procedure, please go to
  www.simulearn.net/ucf

Login Screens

• Enter the information. IMPORTANT Make sure that
  you provide a valid email address or you may not
  be able to get some technical support on a timely
  fashion.
• When done, click on OK.
• You will get back to the previous Login screen.
  Select from the drop down window your login
  E-mail and enter your password.
• Click on Login to access vLeader.

Introduction

• You will get this screen. Click on Begin.
• You should hear a recorded webinar. When done,
  click on the circled X on the top right corner.
• To navigate, you just need to click the Green
  Forward Arrow at the bottom right corner of the
  screen. vLeader allows you to navigate freely
  between different sections and assignments. 
  However, we strongly suggest that you complete
  your training in the correct sequence to save
  time and improve performance

Pre-Assessment

• Next, click on a check box and then on the
  Forward Arrow.
• Enter the information requested by selecting from
  the drop down menu.
• This is a pre-assessment that will allow you to
  see how you progressed when you have completed
  the course. Answer honestly.

Learning Screens

• In addition to earning credit in your course,
  Simulearn (the publisher of vLeader) offers you
  an opportunity to earn a professional leadership
  certificate if you complete a few additional
  assignments.  This certification may be an
  important professional credential that enhances
  your future employment prospects
• In order to received vLeader Certificate, you are
  required to answer all the questions to the best
  of your abilities.
• When you get the Certificate , Experience Level I
  certification with vLeader, you will also be
  entered into an employer verification database
  and will be able to add to your resume that you
  are vLeader Experience Level I Certified by
  SimuLearn.What does it mean? It means you have
  become more situationally aware, have
  demonstrated leadership resiliency and character,
  by dealing repetitively with our challenging
  situations, and started the journey towards
  applying more strategic interpersonal thinking in
  your life.
• After you completed answering the questions, you
  will learn the vLeader Framework.

Introduction to vLeader

• When you reach the screen on the left, click on
  the opinion bars to see if you understand the
  dialog concept in vLeader.
• You will then see a 10 minute introduction video
  on how to use vLeader.
• After you complete the last reflection question,
  you will be able to train in the simulator.
• Completing these essay questions is not
  required for course credit.  However, they are
  necessary if you would like to earn the
  professional training certificate offered by
  Simulearn

Learning the Principles

• You will go through 4 easy scenarios to
  familiarize yourself with the vLeader interface
  and framework. Each will follow the same
  pattern
• one reflection question,
• an orientation,
• a quick practice in the simulator,
• feedback on how you did,
• coaching.
• You will get an overview for each of the four
  section and then
• will access the easy scenario.

Feedback Learning the Principles

• Click on the space bar from your keyboard or
  double click your mouse to continue.
• You will get a freed back screen on how you do.
  IMPORTANT When you check your scores, the scores
  from this section are tagged with a BC in front
  of the version ID field and are not to be used
  for grading.
• You will be asked how you performed. If you did
  not succeed, try again by clicking on the Back
  Arrow button.
• You can also access coaching feedback by clicking
  on any of the statements that you experienced.

End of Learning the Principles

• When you have completed this first section,
  Learning the Principles, you are invited to
  complete the last reflection questions.
• Then you can take a break and click on Quit.
• Completing these essay questions is not
  required for course credit.  However, they are
  necessary if you would like to earn the
  professional training certificate offered by
  Simulearn
• IMPORTANT Do NOT press the Escape key from your
  keyboard to quit as your progress may not be
  saved.
• Congratulation!  Youve completed the vLeader
  orientation.  Please keep in mind that youll
  need to complete the Leadership Post Assessment
  at the end of your training to earn course credit
  for this assignment

Applying the Principles Index Page

• When you resume vLeader, you will be able to
  access an Index page that will show all the steps
  that you have completed in Green. You can also
  access any scenario from that page by clicking on
  the Scenario number. Note that in order to get
  the full benefits of vLeader, we recommend that
  you follow the flow first and once you have
  completed all, you can jump between scenarios
• vLeader allows you to navigate freely between
  different sections and assignments.  However, we
  strongly suggest that you complete your training
  in the correct sequence to save time and improve
  performance
• Click on the Circled X to exit the Index screen.

End of Meeting Screens

• In vLeader Applying the Principles, your scores
  will have an AP in front of the version id. At
  the end of each scenario, you will get a series
  of 11 screens. The most important ones are
  screens 1 3, that shows your scores.
• To view your scores online, click on View Scores
  Online. If you have trouble accessing your
  scores online, use this link instead

Scenario 1

• You are now ready to try more complex scenarios.
  In scenario 1, you will be graded by achieving
  the goals for
• Directive approach,
• Delegative approach,
• Participative approach,
• Great scenario.
• You will get a Green checkmark for each goal
  achieved. You will get a red check mark when you
  have tried that goal twice, but did NOT achieve
  it.
• You can also check the Index button to see how
  much you have left.
• You do not need to complete the reflection
  questions to get full grade, however you need to
  complete them to receive your certificate.
• ONLY to get the certificate When you feel that
  you can achieve a 90 in total results, you can
  go to the next screen. You will have 2 tries to
  reach the Master Play. Dont forget, you can
  practice as many times as you want in the Explore
  approach in the previous screen. The master play
  is only optional and will NOT affect your grade.

• In scenario 2, you will be graded by achieving
  the goals for

Scenario 5

• In scenario 5, you will be graded by achieving

• Great scenario.

  much you have left.
• You do not need to complete the reflection
  questions to get full grade, however you need to
  complete them to receive your certificate.

Post-Assessment and Certificate

• Upon completion of all the scenarios, you will
  need to answer one last reflection question
• And complete the pos-assessment.
• If you have met all the criteria, you will be
  able to print your certificate.
