1. Describe
  • Make a list of at least 15 things you see in the
    artwork the list can be made up of
    objects/things, colours and shapes.
  • Make an effort to use single words in your list
    for example house, cat, blue, etc.

  • In three full sentences analyze where things are
    in the artwork. Do not analyze what is happening
    but instead explain where things are.
  • For example There is a large, yellow moon in the
    upper right corner of the painting.

3. Interpret
  • In three full sentences explain what you think
    the artwork is about you must include evidence
    to support your idea. Your explanation must be
    (and sound!) intelligent.
  • For example I believe that the artwork is about
    a political leader because the painting is filled
    with a group of men who appear to be gathered
    around and listening to a speaker.
