4Policy in the School Context
- Important that
- schools develop a wellbeing and behaviour policy
to complement the Safe Schools NT Code of
Behaviour - schools follow similar format using template
supplied, this does not take away from
individuality of schools it allows policy to
written in schools context.

- The template allows for
- consistency in policy development and
implementation in the NT - alignment with the Safe Schools NT Code of
Behaviour - alignment with relevant legislation and policy
- development of a policy that focuses on
maintaining a supportive school environment and
developing responsible behaviour in all students.
6A Whole School Initiative

- The School Wellbeing and Behaviour Policy is to
be developed in consultation with school
community ie. staff, students and parents should
have input. - Eventually the policy is to be endorsed by the
Principal, Chairperson of the School Council and
the General Manager or Regional Director.
