The power of computers (chips) will continue to
double for every 18 months to 2 years for the
next two decades
The cost of computers (chips) will continue to
decline adjusting for inflation

Computers will be more powerful, smaller and
cheaper
Computers will integrate with new and existing
technologies
Computers will allow seamless communication
through next generation wireless and internet
medians
6The Power will be incredible
The possible uses for education is enormous
The need for knowledgeable and skilled workers
will be in demand for the next several decades
There is a problem, however
7Technology obsolescence
Technology will become antiquated within a few
years
Technology will have to be replaced almost as
soon as it is purchased
Moores Law translates to mandatory yearly
expense!
District or school leaders must be aware of the
turn over, must plan and budget for it
