Where do you get application forms and college
prospectuses/booklets from?

• The Connexions Room in school.
• Connexions shelves of
• school library.
• Directly from the colleges.
• North Chadderton prospectus will be given to you
  by school staff.

Predicted Grades

• You need to include the predicted grade for each
  of your GCSE subjects on the application form and
  list any other exams/qualifications gained.
• A Predicted Grade Sheet will be given out during
  Form Period/PHSE
• Collect your predicted grades from each of your
  subject teachers.
• Spare copies of the Predicted Grade Sheet will be
  available from the Year Tutors Office.

• Attitude to work

• On a separate sheet - keep with the application
  form.
• You need to add your
• Name
• Date of birth
• Name of school
• Course applied for
• Predicted grades

What do I do when I have completed my application
form(s)?

• Give the application form (s) and reference form
  to your Form Teacher, along with predicted grade
  sheet, so they can check that correct grades have
  been entered on your forms.
• When? - As soon as possible.
• By 30th November.
• North Chadderton staff will tell you what to do
  with sixth form applications.

What happens then?

• References will be done by form tutors and passed
  to Connexions PA s.
• They will be registered by the Connexions
  Advisers and
• Posted from school.
• Colleges will post you details of either
  presentation evenings or interviews
• If you are offered a place, you will need to
  accept it this does not commit you to going
  there.
• You will be posted details of enrolment in August
  this will commit you to taking up a place.

• You will all be given a leaflet called
• Top Tips
• the Dos and Donts of filling in application
  forms.
• Also
• After October half term
• Connexions PA help on
• Tuesday lunchtimes and after school
• in the Connexions Room.

What not to do!

• If applying to Oldham College,
• do not put a construction course
• as 2nd choice.
• Do not post your application form yourself.
