We use the Simple Tense of regular or irregular
verbs when describing a daily action, something
we do regularly and/or when we talk in a general
sense.
What is special about this tense is that the
verbs always take a S in the 3rd person
singular.
I LISTEN to t.v.. I READ a book. I DO my bed
He LISTENS to t.v.. He READS a book. She
MEMORIZES her vocabulary.
3Exceptions for 3rd person singular
If a verb finishes with y and is preceeded by
a consonant we have to change the y for an
i and add _es.
To study becomes
She STUDIES
He CRIES
To cry becomes
4An other exception
If the verb finishes with the lettre o ,
x , s , sh or ch we have to add
__es to ending of the verb.
To go goes To mix mixes To miss
misses To wash washes To catch catches
