5RTTC Electro-Optical Sensor Flight Evaluation
Laboratory (EOSFEL)
The EOSFEL is a state-of-the-art facility for
testing EO missile guidance sections and control
systems. The facility provides a real-time
closed-loop high-bandwidth 6 degree-of-freedom
(6-DOF) HWIL test environment that provides a
non- destructive environment for performing
missile subsystem testing throughout the weapon
system life-cycle.

7RTTC Modeling and Simulation Testbed (MSTB)
The RTTC MS Testbed is Helping to Define a
Re-usable Common Architecture to interface with
the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC)
Virtual Proving Ground. Initial implementation
focused to Support Army Tactical Missile
Simulations and HWIL Facilities.

HPC
10Federation Execution
- Configured a 20 Mbit/Sec Bridged Permanent
Virtual Circuit (PVC) between RTTC and WSMR - Data Throughput Requirement
- Real-Time IR Scenes of 5000 Byte packets at 30
Hz. - Utilized Point to Point instead of Multicast due
to Routing Issues - To Support Point to Point Networking
- Had to Modify RID File
- Utilized Directions Found Under the HLA Homepage
RTI FAQ for Does the RTI Work Outside the
Confines of a LAN - Had to Modify Federation Execution Data (FED)
File - Modified the FOM to Change the Transport
Mechanisms for Every Attribute from Best Effort
to Reliable - Generated New FED File
- Distributed New RID and FED File
11Network Results
- Bridged PVC between RTTC and WSMR
- Ping Results 5000 Byte Packet size at 30 Hz
- Sent 2,296,000 Packets
- Received 2,295,731 Packets
- Lost Packets 269 for .021 Loss
- Latency Tests
- Using the DMSO Benchmark Tools and the RTI 1.3v5
Running on 1 Processor of the HPC with Reliable
Transport - Max One-way 37.96 msecs
- Min One-way 34.87 msecs
- Mean One-way 36.38 msecs
- Round-Trip Latency Approximately 73 msecs
- Theoretical Crow-Flies Latency Approximately 12
msecs
