Interoperability

• AECMA 1000D forms the basis for interoperability
  of data e.g. SGML
• Data is interchanged not necessarily the IETM,
• Existing data can be used (e.g. external entities
  or encoded data),
• The rendering of the data can be individual to
  the user site

• Printing to paper either as single data modules
  or groups of data modules,
• Requires build, formatting and output
• Output as IETP in groups of data modules as a
  single file

Data Selectivity

• Allows individual or sets of data modules to be
  selected by the user,
