• Slope represents the number of units a line rises
  or falls vertically for each unit of
• horizontal change from left to right.

• To find an equation of a line, you must know the
  coordinates of one point
• on the line and the slope of the line.
• Point-Slope Form
• y y1 / x x1 m or y y1
  m (x x1)
• Where m is slope, x1 is the x coordinate, and y1
  is the y coordinate.
• Find an equation for the line that passes through
  the point (-1,2) and has a slope of 3
