Objectives

• Use DNR Garmin to upload points to Garmin GPS
  receiver as waypoints
• Use DNR Garmin to upload polygon to Garmin GPS
  receiver as tracks
• Confirm upload to Garmin receiver
• Instructor will provide files for upload

Connect Garmin to Computer

• Connect GPS to PC with download cable

Connect cable to Serial Port
No serial port? Use USB adaptor cable

Preparing for Data Transfer

• Power on GPS and set transfer mode to Garmin

• Open DNR Garmin
• Check Projection is Set!

These Fields will Transfer to GPS

• WARNING!
• When you upload waypoints, any waypoint in the
  GPS that has the same ID name as the uploading
  waypoint will be overwritten.
• Although this is not an issue today, it may
  happen on a fire!
