Data Communication Channel (DCC)

• Formed by the D1, D2 and D3 bites in the Section
  Overhead
• Creates a 192 Kbit/s link (8000 frame/sec
  3Bytes/frame)
• Used for monitoring, alarms, provisioning, and
  software download
• Protocol is point-to-point between ADMs
• Today protocol is proprietary
