Learning Outcomes

    power system operation and explain the basic
    concept of electricity tariff and energy
    efficiency.
  • Analyse the basic design concepts and perform
    component modelling using per-unit system.
  • Derive and apply suitable equations related to
    parameters,models and performances of power
    transmission lines.

  • Each student is compulsory (100) to attend all
    classes including lectures, tutorials,
    laboratories, and fieldwork for each registered
    class, including the first class session, in
    order to verify registration with instructors,
    and to complete all work assigned for the course.
  • If students do not attend the class and do not
    give prior notification to the instructor of
    acceptable reasons for absence, the student shall
    be dropped from the course or 0 marks will be
    granted for that particular courses.
  • Instructors of courses are not obligated to
    provide make-up opportunities for students who
    are absent, unless the absence has been
    officially approved. An officially approved
    absence, however, merely gives the individual who
    missed the class an opportunity to make up the
    work and in no way excuses him from the work.

  • -All assignments and homework must be handed on
    time.
  • -A penalty of 50 deduction will be imposed for
    any late submission

Classroom Conduct
  • All students in the class must treat others with
    civility and respect and conduct themselves
    during class sessions in a way that does not
    unreasonably interfere with the opportunity of
    other students to learn.
  • Failure to comply with this requirement may
    result in points being deducted from a students
    final numerical average/soft skills.

  • Your written assignments, lab and examinations
    must be your own work.
  • Academic Misconduct will not be tolerated, and
    all cases will be forwarded to the Board of
    Examination, for further actions.
