Proposed Cell Search Algorithm
  • Compensate for three possible CFO values then
    pass through FFT
  • FFT Received preamble x CFO_0 RxCompensated0
  • FFT Received preamble x CFO_1 RxCompensated1
  • FFT Received preamble x CFO_2 RxCompensated2
  • Use compensated symbol for corresponding preamble
    set to do differential correlation
  • For segment0 preamble set, take RxCompensated0
    index 0,3,6,
  • For segment1 preamble set, take RxCompensated1
    index 1,4,7,
  • For segment2 preamble set, take RxCompensated2
    index 2,5,8,
  • When the peak of preamble set is found, we can
    derive the exact CFO value from the corresponding
    preamble segment

Proposed ICI Cancellation Method
  • Simplified ZF
  • Use a power series to expand the inverse matrix
    of NxN channel matrix and take the first 3 terms
  • Consider only the ICI contribution of the channel
    matrix diagonal neighboring terms
  • Simplified ZF cascading by a PIC equalizer
